Newtown Teen Crashes Into Utility Pole, Causes Power Outage in Cheshire
The 18-year-old was cited for using a cell phone while driving.

A Newtown teenager was cited for distracted driving after the vehicle she was operating crashed into a utility pole and knocked out power to 759 Cheshire residents Tuesday night, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Ericka Norberg, 18, of Palestine Road in Newtown, was also found to be in possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and was cited for that in addition to the distracted driving cell phone violation.
The accident occurred on Sperry Road at about 7:25 p.m., according to the Record-Journal.
