PD: Woman Assaults Cop After Newtown DUI Arrest

A Naugatuck woman was arrested for driving under the influence and then for attempting to flee officers, according to police.

Police got a report of an erratic driver on Berkshire Road Nov 9 shortly before 5 p.m.

Police conducted a stop and charged Kristina Bain, 28, with operating under the influence.

Bain allegedly became violent with officers and herself while in police custody. She attempted to flee from officers. She was additionally charged with assaulting a police officer, interfering with police and 3rd-degree criminal mischief.
