Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theorist Arrested: PD
Wolfgang Halbig was arrested for releasing personal information of Leonard Pozner, whose son Noah, 6, was killed, according to a warrant.
NEWTOWN, CT — A former Infowars contributor and Sandy Hook school shooting conspiracy theorist was arrested for unlawful possession of personal identification, according to police.
Leonard Pozner, whose 6-year-old son Noah was killed in the 2012 shooting filed a complaint with police about Wolfgang Halbig, according to the New York times. Halbig lives in Florida and was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff Department.
Halbig emailed Pozner's Social Security Number and other personal identification to several people including news stations and law enforcement, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

The Sandy Hook school shooting left 20 children and six educators dead. Several families have been terrorized with harassment from people who claim the shooting never happened.
Halbig is named in a defamation lawsuit filed by several family members of Sandy Hook school shooting victims. Infowars founder Alex Jones is named as the primary defendant. The lawsuit remains ongoing.

Halbig is a former police officer and school administrator. He has made more than 22 trips to Connecticut related to his conspiracy theory that the shooting was a hoax, according to the lawsuit complaint. He appeared on the Infowars program several times. He has claimed that several of the victims were "crisis actors."
Jones admitted during a deposition that some of the information Halbig supplied him with wasn't accurate.
Pozner founded the HONR network, which helps educate victims and law enforcement about dealing with online harassment. HONR also advocates for victims and their families. Pozner won a $450,000 defamation lawsuit against another conspiracy theorist who claimed he released a fake death certificate for his son.
Pozner said he has moved several times in order to avoid harassment after his background check information was released
