Several Cars Stolen in Newtown

Police are advising residents to lock their vehicle doors and not to keep the keys inside after numerous car theft incidents.

Since September there have been five stolen vehicles and numerous cars that were broken into, according to police.

Incidents have occurred on: Pearl Street, Charles Circle, Forest Drive, Head O Meadow, Budd Drive, The Boulevard, Sealand Drive, Baldwin, Platts Hill Road, Hemlock Road, Taunton Hill Road, Bogs Hill Road,. Schoolhouse Hill Road and Hanover Road.

Vehicles stolen include: 2011 Mercedes C300, 2009 Chevy Silverado Pickup, 2013 Kia Optima, KTM 350 EXC Motorcycle and a 2007 Mercedes GI 450. All stolen vehicles had keys inside.

Police urge residents to call 911 if they see a crime in progress and to call 203-426-5841 to report suspicious activity.
