ST. ROSE OF LIMA PRE-SCHOOL FALL OPEN HOUSE ON NOVEMBER 19 & 20, 2014

St. Rose of Lima Pre-School, located at 40 Church Hill Road in Newtown, Connecticut, will hold its Fall Open House for parents and prospective students on Wednesday, November 19th and Thursday, November 20th, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Faculty, administrative staff, current parents, and admissions representatives will be available to conduct guided tours and provide information about the Pre-School’s three-, four- and five-day pre-school programs.

St. Rose of Lima Pre-School’s comprehensive curriculum includes fine arts, music, language arts, mathematics, physical education, religion, science, and world languages. I-Pad technology is integrated across the curriculum. The pre-school faculty is committed to creating an atmosphere that is both nurturing and comforting, allowing children to discover their individuality and how they relate collectively. We are a Catholic, faith-based program where children pray and grow in their relationship with God. St. Rose of Lima Pre-School meets nationally recognized criteria set forth by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The pre-school’s programs further encourage children to discover themselves and God’s world in educational, creative, and engaging ways.

St. Rose of Lima Pre-School offers a unique advantage to other area pre-schools because it is an integral part of the St. Rose of Lima School system that educates children through grade eight. The main school opened its doors to the Newtown community and surrounding towns in 1958. Since 1989, St. Rose of Lima School has offered a full-day kindergarten, and has mapped the pre-school curriculum to ensure that children are fully prepared for a seamless transition into a full-day kindergarten setting. Pre-school students are also afforded the unique opportunity to share academic resources, facilities, unique educational and enrichment programs with students in St. Rose of Lima’s K-8 program. St. Rose of Lima Pre-School opened it’s doors in 2000.
