Steroid-Selling Ex-Newtown Cop Sentencing Postponed
Former Sgt. Steven Santucci's sentencing is delayed until he finishes training school to become an electrician.

NEWTOWN, CT- Former Newtown Police Sgt. Steven Santucci's days of being a cop are over as he aims for a second career as an electrician.
Santucci pleaded guilty to manufacturing and selling anabolic steroids last year. A plea deal agrees to 57 to 71 months in prison, but a judge will have the final say, according to the News-Times.
His sentencing was postponed until he finishes a training program.

Santucci and several others were arrested after law enforcement began investigating a steroid trafficking ring.
Credit card records obtained during the investigation revealed that Santucci paid for a $30,000 African safari, spent more than $25,000 on cruises and spent more than $111,000 on lodging expenses between April 2011 and November 2014.

Former Newtown police dispatcher Jason Chickos was sentenced to two years probation as part of the conspiracy.
