High pressure drifts over the Northeast and offshore by midweek. Meanwhile moisture over the central and southern Midwest moves eastward to the Mid Atlantic and Southeastern States. Most of the moisture dissipates as it tries to enter New England. However a new area of moisture builds with its sights set on southern New England over the weekend.
