High pressure from off the Jersey Shore to eastern Montana, and south to the mid Mississippi Valley. Stationary frontal system from South Carolina to west Texas with a string of weak unorganized low pressure areas. Cold front with waves moving through the northern Rockies.

Large area of moisture over the Southeast drifts northeastward but the movement is hampered by high pressure blocking its path through mid week. At the end of the week, a small disturbance forms off the Jersey Shore pushing the moisture into southern New England then out to sea. At the same time, a new low forms over western PA/OH delivering mild moist air into the Northeast for the weekend.
