Low pressure forms over Virginia the beginning of the weekend then tracks to New England bringing significant moisture throughout New England for the first half of the weekend. Second half of the weekend, the deepening storms pulls cold Canadian air down into the Northeast. The cold air remains entrenched until a warm southwesterly flow sets up by mid week.
