Low pressure north of Maine meanders over southeast Quebec pulling cold air into the Northeast. By midweek, high pressure setting up over the Mid Atlantic States reverses the flow and sets up a warm flow up until the end of the week when a cold front moves eastward resulting in cyclogenesis over the Northeast next weekend.
