Today's Weather: Two frontal systems traverse the country. One stretching from the Great Lakes down through the Midwest and out to the Rockies. A second front across southern Canada with polar air to the north. The combination of the two is spreading mainly rain showers from central New England to WV. Rain and snow cover most of the Pacific Northwest with a Pacific storm heading towards Washington State.

The GFS moves the first cold front across New England today with a mix of rain and snow showers.
Wednesday, an Alberta Clipper forms and moves across the Northern Tier of the US with rain and snow showers for midweek turning to all snow showers for northern New England at the end of the week.
Next weekend the GFS forms a second stronger Alberta Clipper that tracks across New England bringing light snow to New York and New England as colder air filters back into the Northeast.
Early next week the GFS maintains a cold flow out of Canada but by midweek the GFS develops a double storm system that moves towards the Northeast.
