Today's Weather: A strong low pressure system over the Canadian Maritimes is pulling very cold air out of Canada across the Northeast down along the Atlantic Coast. A set of disorganized frontal systems stretch from TX to AK with an area of snow and rain reaching from central CA to WA/OR border eastward to central NV.

The GFS moves the coldest air out of the Northeast on Monday with a mild return flow taking place by Tuesday. Meanwhile, a large storm forms over Iowa and moves towards Chicago and into central Quebec Province. This system delivers rain for the Northeast and Midwest with snow for the Upper Great Lakes. A smaller storm over the central California coast moves inland to NV bringing rain/snow to the Rockies. The low then races across the country delivering snow and rain to the Northeast next weekend.
