Today's Weather: Low pressure moving through central Quebec will continue to move eastward bringing colder air behind it for the Northeast. Lake and mountain snow showers have started over western NY and PA. A new storm forming over Utah is delivering snow to the Rockies from eastern CA to North Central Nebraska.

The GFS shows a new storm developing southeast of Cape Cod tonight and moving into the Gulf of Maine early Friday morning, clipping Down East Maine with snow, and rain for the Canadian Maritimes. Meanwhile, the low over Quebec continues to weaken as the coastal storm deepens and heads for upper Quebec and western Greenland. The return flow to the west of the system drags colder air into the Northeast for the weekend. Monday an Alberta Clipper slides across northern New England delivering snow to the Adirondacks, Green and White Mountains. Behind it, another Clipper moves into southern Quebec pushing a cold front down into central New York and New England separating mild air in southern New England from colder air across the North Country. As the week progresses, the GFS moves another storm system from the Midwest to central Canada providing a new flow of mild air for the Northeast by week's end.
