Current Weather: Low pressure moving off the Carolina Coasts producing rain and a mid sized Aleutian Low sweeping moisture over the Pacific Northwest.
Also low pressure over the Great Lakes is shoving mild air into the Northeast.
Cold core of air is over Nunavut, -20F.

The GFS shows dual low pressure areas, one over the Carolina Coast and the other over the Upper Great Lakes. The main influencer for the Northeast is the Canadian low that is shoving mild air all the way into Quebec Province. The mild stream continues into midweek when an arctic cold front slips into northern New England. By week's end though the air flow reveses and a true punch of spring arrives for the Northeast next weekend.
