Current Weather: Large low pressure over the eastern Great Lakes is pushing a cold front through the Northeast with showers over southern New England, and snow showers over the Green and White Mountains. A frontal system stretching from the Dakotas to Seattle is delivering rain and snow from Nebraska to Vancouver.

A coastal system forms in the Gulf of Maine this afternoon delivering a steady snow from Downeast Maine to the Canadian Maritimes. The system pulls out of New England this evening leaving a cold Canadian flow across the Northeast with the usual Lake and Mountain snow showers through mid week. By week's end a return flow sets up a milder flow of air for the Northeast persisting through the weekend. Early next week, another frontal system passes over the Northeast delivering the classic April showers for New York and New England.
