Current Weather: Combination of low pressure moving into MN and a Bermuda High is creating a warm front from the Mid Atlantic States to the Upper Midwest. Ahead of it, showers are breaking out from Delmarva to Michigan. The onshore flow along the Gulf States is producing showers and thunderstorms from LA to East Texas. An intensifying low off the coast of British Columbia is generating a wide area of rain/snow from AZ to Seattle.

The GFS pushes the warm front northeastward overnight distributing rain for New York and New England with rain/snow for the Green and White Mountains. Saturday, the warm front continues its trek towards Quebec with the 5400m thickness reaching the Canadian border by 22UTC, and then temporarily stalls. The 850mb -2 isotherm lags behind the 5400m thickness indicating some snow accumulation along the northern frontier and some mixed precipitation for the high elevations of central New England. This leaves an extended period of mix precip over northern Maine while mild temperatures ushers into southern New England. As the 700mb 70% moisture exits southern New England a break through of sunshine on Sunday could propel temperatures in some spots. Late Sunday and Monday, warm air slides past Quebec City. Monday and Tuesday, a coastal system slips by Nantucket delivering rain for southeast New England. By midweek, another cold front moves through the Northeast, but, the cooler air is short-lived as another warm front approaches the Northeast with more showers for the end of the week.
