Current Weather: A tale of two New Englands. Warm air over the south and added snow for the northern ski areas from the Adirondacks, to the Green and White Mountains. Snow stretches from the southeast coast of Maine to the Canadian Border while balmy weather is the rule for the Connecticut Shoreline.
A wide swath of showers extends from the Gulf Coast to Chicago as mild moist air sweeps over the Midwest compliments of an offshore Bermuda High. A frontal system stretching from Kansas to British Columbia is producing widely scattered snow across the Rockies with rain showers over the High Plains.
Coldest air is over King William Island; -38F.

A stationary front dividing New England slowly starts to move northeastward into Canada over the next 24 hours which punches mild air through to the mouth of the St. Lawrence River. Low pressure pushes into northeast Quebec early next week leaving unsettled showers and mild air for the Northeast until a new cold front arrives mid week. Meanwhile, a new low forms over Nebraska which tracks into MN pushing another batch of moist mild air into the Northeast late in the week, with things drying out by the weekend.
