Current Weather: Cold front moving eastward off the New England coast is giving the Northeast a return to a cold flow out of Canada.
A stalled frontal system from MN to Saskatchewan is delivering snow from the Dakotas to Iowa with rain over southeast NB.
A second stalled frontal system is bringing snow and rain from the Rockies to California.
Coldest air is over just east of Hudson's Bay; -33F.

The GFS moves a cold high pressure system across southern Quebec as cyclogenesis occurs over Colorado then intensifies and moves towards Ontario. Hence, the eastern third of the country sets up for a southerly flow of mild moist air towards the end of the week through the weekend. By early next week, another surge of cold air returns to the Northeast
