Current Weather: Small low pressure over northern New England with a cold front stretching to North Texas. Stationary front from north Texas to Central Canada. Disturbances off the west coast from Oregon to the Gulf of Alaska.
Strong southerly flow has lifted temperatures above zero over North Central and Northwest Canada.

An Arctic trough of cold air slides across the Northeast with moderation taking place by the end of the week. Over the weekend a weak low pressure system moves up the Mid Atlantic States into the Northeast delivering moisture for the first half of the weekend with a milder flow setting up for early next week.
