Current Weather: High pressure dominates the eastern half of the country. A weak frontal system stretches from Missouri to Nevada. Overrunning from a strengthening warm front over the Midwest is causing snow over the Great Lakes with rain over Illinois and eastern Missouri.

Stubborn cold air hangs over the Northeast while the Central Plains experiences a warm up through the end of the week. Weak low pressure forms over the Mid Atlantic States pushing moisture into New England for the first half of the weekend with a push of milder air early next week.
