Current Weather: High pressure moving off the New England coast is setting up a southwest flow of milder air with warm frontogenesis over PA and NY causing snow from Lake Erie to New York's Southern Tier, and rain southward to TN. Rain and snow showers over the Northern Prairie States.

The GFS slides a moisture into New England over the next couple of days, then a coastal low develops off the Jersey Shore delivering rain and rain/snow over the higher elevations the first half of the weekend. Early next week, a stronger surge of milder air penetrates the Northeast ahead of a cold front that arrives mid week.
