Over the next 24-48 hours a southerly flow of milder air sets up for the Northeast into the first part of the weekend. A stream of moisture delivers showers mainly to Northern New England. Sunday and Monday, the GFS dips a backdoor cold front as far south as Central New England which quickly retreats back into Canada. Through the end of the week the southerly flow of mild moist air continues into next weekend.
