High pressure off the Eastern Seaboard in conjunction with low pressure over South Dakota pushes mild air northward over the eastern half of the country into mid week. A new low forms over the Great Lakes at the end of the week bringing moisture into the Northeast, with a core of colder air returning to the Northeast early next week.
