Backdoor cold front over central Maine. Large occlusion over the Michigan Upper Peninsula with a warm front extending to central New York and a cold front looping from MI to WY. Weak disturbance entering the Pacific Northwest.

Widespread rain over the Upper Great Lakes with a line of showers and thunderstorms along the cold front from central New York to Alabama. Widely scattered showers over the Pacific Northwest with snow over the highest elevations in the northern Rockies especially the Unitas of Utah.

Low pressure over the Great Lakes moves eastward into southern Canada and continues to weaken, however, it manages to push moisture into New England, particularly northern New England. Low pressure develops early next week over KS/NB delivering rain to the Heartland. Storm then organizes into a significant rain maker for the corn belt into mid week, then slides off the Mid Atlantic coast delivering rain from VA to southern New England late in the week.
