Low pressure over the Bay of Fundy, with a stationary front stretching north-south over western Maine. Organizing low pressure over KS/MS along a stationary front that reaches from North Carolina to eastern California. Occluding front entering the Pacific Northwest.

Low pressure slowly moves off the Canadian Maritimes into midweek pulling moisture and cool air over northern New England. As the Midwestern low develops and tracks eastward, rain spreads through the corn belt to the Mid Atlantic Coast where a Second Type B Coastal Storm forms off of Delmarva. The current run of the GFS is placing the coastal storm farther south than the previous day's run which sends the heaviest precipitation out to sea. At the end of the week, a series of small coastal lows develop along the Jersey Shore spreading showers into the Northeast with a steadier rain for southern New England and Long Island.
