TEDx Speaker Jack Petrash Coming to Newtown's Housatonic Valley Waldorf School
Housatonic Valley Waldorf School at 1 Jacklin Road in Newtown is excited to host Jack Petrash as part of its 25th Anniversary Celebration

Mr. Petrash will give a Friday evening lecture titled: Education from the Inside Out on October 17 from 7pm to 9pm and a Saturday morning discussion for fathers: No Moms Allowed on October 18 9am to 12pm.
Educator, parenting expert, and author, Jack Petrash will discuss how Waldorf Education prepares children to meet world challenges with confidence and resilience. Mr. Petrash has been a class teacher at the Washington Waldorf School in DC for over thirty years. He is also the founder and director of the Nova Institute, an organization that works to build a bridge between mainstream education and Waldorf Education. He is the author of Understanding Waldorf Education: Teaching from the Inside Out and his recent TEDx talk: Preparing Children for the Journey has been viewed worldwide.
In addition, Jack works with fathers to discuss parenting and their relationships with their children. His pieces have appeared in the Washington Post and on NPR. He is the author of Covering Home: Lessons on Fathering from the Game of Baseball and Navigating the Terrain of Childhood: A Guide to Meaningful Parenting and Heartfelt Discipline.
