What's Open in Newtown on Presidents Day
Many Newtown venues remain open on this Monday holiday.
To celebrate Presidents Day, kids all over town are planning to sleep in. With three days chopped off of the original week-long winter vacation, every minute of Monday and Tuesday will be relished.
But for many of us, the everyday chores of life (and work) continue. So here are some of the open and closed businesses in town for Monday.

-Banks will be closed on Monday, with regular business hours on Tuesday.
-The USPS will be closed as well, with no mail delivery.

-Newtown Public Schools are closed.
-C.H. Booth Library is closed.
-Newtown town offices are closed.
Open
-Big Y, Stop & Shop and Caraluzzi's are open for normal business hours.
-Toy Tree in Sandy Hook has shortened hours of 11am - 4pm.
-Walgreens and CVS are open.
-Most restaurants and delis are open on Presidents Day except those that are normally closed on Mondays.
