What's Open, What's Closed in Newtown for the New Year's Holiday

As you’re preparing to ring in the new year, we have put together a list of holiday hours and closings. Happy New Year!

Closing early on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2014:

• Town Offices will close early at 12 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2014, New Year’s Eve.
• The C. H. Booth Public Library will be open on Wednesday, December 31 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Closed on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2015:

• Town Offices
• U.S. Government offices
• Post offices
• Schools will remain on winter break
• Banks
• C. H. Booth Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2015 for New Year’s Day.
• Connecticut state offices
• Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles
• AAA offices
