His military medals, including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, were presented to his older brother, also a WWII Vet, William Petrone who was a sergeant during the war. Senator Richard Blumenthal presented an American flag which had flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, DC and State Representatives Mitch Bolinsky and Marty Foncello presented William with the Connecticut Wartime Service Medal. The ceremony was held at the Catholic War Veterans Post 1042 in Danbury. William Petrone is a Newtown resident.

The program will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at the C.H. Booth Library. The presenter, Christine Darnell, is the owner of Boutique Landscape &amp; Garden Design of Lyme, Connecticut. 
Using her artist’s eye towards color and texture, Christine designs plant combinations from the beginning of the design process to the completion of the landscape plan.She will show a gallery of her work to illustrate her approach to garden design.

REDDING CENTER, CT — A Redding tradition returns this fall as the First Church of Christ, Congregational welcomes the community to its 44th Annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For more than four decades, the Artisan Fair has brought together neighbors, families, and visitors from across Fairfield County for a day filled with handcrafted artwork, delicious homemade food, live entertainment, shopping, children’s activities, and one of the area’s largest community tag sales. Best of all, admission is free.
<h3>Discover One-of-a-Kind Artisan Creations</h3>
Nearly 50 local and regional artisans will transform the church grounds into an outdoor marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, paintings, home décor, gourmet specialties, and much more.
“In addition to welcoming many of our favorite returning artisans, we’re excited to introduce several talented new exhibitors this year,” said Kara Morgan, Artisan Fair Coordinator. “Whether you’re beginning your holiday shopping or simply looking for something unique, you’ll find beautiful handcrafted pieces created by incredibly talented artists.”

Snakeskin Boots Band is an American Country Rock Band from Fairfield County Connecticut, with a mix of original songs and covers. Their voices and musical songwriting style bring a unique sound. Kurt's rich, deep rocking quality, and Helen's warm soulful touches fill a distinctive sound into our music. Performances are filled with energy and passion, showcasing chemistry on stage.
