📰 News we're reading
• Six months after ban, kratom remains a concern for local clinicians (lakevillejournal.com) — North Canaan residents are seeing the effects of Connecticut's kratom ban up close, with Mountainside Treatment Center reporting more patients seeking help for dependence on kratom-derived products like 7-OH. Clinicians describe a sharp rise in local treatment cases, explain ongoing access across state lines, and offer practical advice for families on recognizing warning signs, carrying naloxone, and talking with teens about emerging drug risks.
