The online form documents losses from the September 13 storm so emergency managers can assess financial impacts and determine eligibility for FEMA or SBA programs, though it does not guarantee assistance.
• Man Charged In Burglary After Cellphone Left At Scene: North Branford Police (patch.com) — North Branford police have charged a Hartford man in connection with an attempted dirt bike and truck theft at a Northford home, after officers recovered a cellphone left near the suspects' car. Detectives used search warrants and technology to identify the owner, and police are urging residents to use their station as a safe meetup spot for Facebook Marketplace and other online sales involving high-value items.
• Lamont pledges to extend state employee retirement benefits (ctmirror.org) — Connecticut residents, including many in North Branford, could see state employee retirement benefits extended unchanged through mid-2028 if Gov. Ned Lamont's new understanding with unions holds after the election.
