Controversial Proposed Propane Storage Facility Considered Again in North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The propane storage facility proposal for North Branford from Guilford-based J.J. Sullivan Fuel Co. will be considered again, according to officials.

The company is looking to install a 60,000-gallon tank on property it owns on Ciro Road, and the plan will be the focus of a adjudication hearing at 6:30 p.m. on September 8 in the North Branford Auditorium, reports The Sound.

State officials have studied the proposal for more than a year, but dozens of residents have opposed the plan due to safety concerns.
