UPDATE: North Branford police say RT-22 (Forest Road) is now open for traffic in both directions.<hr />NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A large fallen tree has closed Forest Road (Route 22) between Mill Road and Augur Road in North Branford. Police are advising motorists to use Totoket Road as a detour. As a result of the downed tree, the North Branford Police Department's routine telephone lines are out of service. Police say 911 calls are being routed to the North Haven Police Department and all emergencies will be handled as normal. This story will be updated when more information is available.
