A Circle Drive resident escaped without injury from a Thursday morning fire that damaged the home that a fire official said did not have smoke detectors.
North Branford Fire Chief William Seward III told the New Haven Register that the fire may have started in a wood-burning appliance and spread to a closet and bathroom. During the snowstorm, firefighters had to transport water to the scene because there aren’t any hydrants in that area of town, according to the report.
The Register report can be found here.
