North Branford Promotes Two Police Sergeants

The department has promoted two officers to become sergeants.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The North Branford Police Commission has promoted two new sergeants.

"Officer Marino comes with a wealth of knowledge," the department said in a social media post. "In his previous career with the New Haven Police Department he held several supervisory positions including District Manager, O.I.C in charge of the Robbery / Burglary Unit, O.I.C in charge of the Crime Scene Investigative Unit and Patrol Supervisor.

"He also worked for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police where he was also promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Officer Marino joined the North Branford Police Department on September 15, 2014 and most recently has been assigned to the records division."

Officer Redente began his career in 2008 with the Chester Police Department where he attained the rank of Corporal in charge of administrative duties as well as a D.A.R.E. officer.

Since coming to North Branford Police Department in March of 2017, he has taken on the role of FTO and Taser Instructor.
