North Branford Propane Storage Facility on Verge of State Approval: Report
The controversial proposal still needs town approval.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is on the verge of approving an important piece of the controversial propane storage facility proposal in North Branford, reports WTNH-TV.
The plan, proposed by Guilford-based J.J. Sullivan Fuel Co., calls for the construction of a 60,000-gallon propane facility on Ciro Road in North Branford, which many residents oppose. DEEP is about to approve the "permit to discharge storm water," according to WTNH.
However, the North Branford Planning and Zoning Commission still has to approve the measure, which it has not been able to do in recent years.
