North Branford, Shoreline Students Learn about UConn
UConn President Susan Herbst and alumni discussed the merits of the state university during a recent event at North Haven High School.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — High school students from North Branford and other shoreline towns learned about the merits of the University of Connecticut during an event at North Haven High School on Nov. 21.
At the event, high school students from five area towns and their families got to meet and hear from current students, alumni like Sikorsky Aircraft’s Doug Shidler, and University of Connecticut President Susan Herbst.
“This has never been a better time to be a student at UConn," said Herbst in a statement. "The progress that we have made in the last 20 years, and even in the last five, has transformed our university into one of the top public institutions of higher learning in the country.”
