North Branford's Jerome Harrison School Exceeds $25K Charity Fundraising Goal

The elementary school recently held a St. Baldrick's Foundation event to benefit children's cancer research.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - The students and staff of North Branford's Jerome Harrison Elementary School recently raised about $30,000 for charity through a St. Baldrick's Foundation event where participants agreed to have their heads shaved.

Nationally, such "Brave the Shave for Kids with Cancer" events have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit children's cancer research. The North Branford event on March 21 brought out more than 70 "shavees," reports The Sound.

Jerome Harrison School had hoped to raise $25,000 and far exceeded that goal. Click here for more information on the school's effort and make a donation.
