Northford Student Continues Sacred Heart Academy Legacy

Maria Bernabucci has been accepted as a member of the Class of 2019.

The Sacred Heart Academy legacy continues. And a Northford student is helping to continue the legacy at the school in Hamden.

Legacies from the incoming Class of 2019 were recognized at the recently held orientation for incoming freshmen. Sixteen members of the class have mothers who are alumnae and three members of the class have a grandmother who is an alumna.

Among the legacies is Maria Bernabucci of Northford, daughter of Mary Costanzo Bernabucci, a member of the Class of 1978.

“Sacred Heart legacy is again strongly represented in this class. We are particularly struck with the number of alumnae who are sending their daughters to Sacred Heart. The presence of these young women at the Academy is a testament to the importance that families place on the values learned here, and their desire to ensure that the Sacred Heart tradition continues,” Admission Director Elaine Lamboley ’60, said in welcoming the Class of 2019.
