• Inside Week 5 of CIAC football: 'Eat the Bear,' 5-0 starts and an NVL thriller (thehour.com) — North Branford football fans can celebrate a big milestone, as the Thunderbirds beat Rockville 38-27 to start the season 5-0 for the first time since 2012, powered by five rushing touchdowns from Jack Sigel and Matteo Anderson. The statewide roundup also highlights other undefeated Connecticut teams and key upcoming matchups, but North Branford's resurgence and three years of hard work under coach Anthony Salvati take center stage.
