• Man Charged In Burglary After Cellphone Left At Scene: North Branford Police (patch.com) — North Branford police have charged a Hartford man after a cellphone left near a fleeing vehicle helped detectives link him to a November burglary attempt at a Northford home. Investigators say suspects tried to steal both a dirt bike and a pickup truck, and officers are now urging North Branford residents selling high-value items online to use the department's designated safe exchange location instead of their homes.

The town's two detectives have tracked suspects across several states, made multiple arrests, and stress that quick reporting and saving texts, receipts, and other evidence greatly improves their chances of recovering stolen money.
