$2M In Security Upgrades Sought For North Haven Schools: Report

The funding already has received approval from the North Haven Board of Finance.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A massive $2 million security upgrade package is being sought for North Haven schools, a proposal that will be the subject of a referendum sometime early next year, writes the New Haven Register.

The funding, which has received North Haven Board of Finance approval, would pay for computers and monitors, alarms, surveillance cameras, intercom systems, security lighting, reinforced glass and a host of other improvements.

Town officials will hold a public hearing on the proposal on Feb. 3, and the townwide vote will come at a later date.
