2. 'Impressive' Home Hits The Market For $1.49M In North Haven (patch.com) — North Haven buyers can now tour a nearly one-acre Regency Drive property in the Blue Hills neighborhood, listed for about $1.49 million. The 5,000-plus-square-foot home offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a flowing layout from a well-appointed kitchen into generous living spaces, emphasizing privacy and flexibility for local families.
3. Speed cameras catch more than 12,000 speeding drivers in North Haven school zones during trial (wfsb.com) — North Haven has installed six speed cameras in three school zones and a five-day trial already caught over 12,000 drivers going at least 11 mph over the limit. Once activated, there will be a 30-day warning period before $50 tickets start, with data kept only by the town and deleted after 30 days.
4. Facial recognition led police to NJ man charged in North Haven car theft, warrant says (nhregister.com) — North Haven police used shared surveillance images and facial recognition analysis from Westchester County to help identify a New Jersey man accused in an April 9 gas-station car theft on Washington Avenue. The suspect was later arrested in New Jersey, extradited to Connecticut, and now faces multiple felony charges while a second suspect remains at large.
5. Vanderbilt baseball recruiting, tracking 2028 commitments for Tim Corbin's Commodores (tennessean.com subscription) — A North Haven pitcher from Lyman Hall, Laffin, has committed to play baseball for Vanderbilt's 2028 class after attending a Commodores camp and showing a fastball up to 93 mph. The broader update tracks early national commitments as Vanderbilt builds its future roster.
