Armed Men Ask Cops To Shoot Them, Get Subdued With Taser: PD

Police say officers responded to two incidents within 24 hours that could have "resulted in deadly force."

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police officers are being credited with subduing two emotionally disturbed men with Tasers during incidents where things could have gone much differently. Police say officers responded to two incidents within the past 24 hours that could have “resulted in deadly force.”

“Two individuals both armed with knives, threatened police and asked for officers to shoot them,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The first was on Monday, on Russell Rd, and the second, tonight (Tuesday) on Monroe St. Officers used great tactics, and were able to subdue the emotionally disturbed men with tasers.”
