Car Burglars Thwarted In North Haven: Police

Police say there was one thing that stopped the burglars from stealing from the vehicle… (Watch it here)

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police shared surveillance video of car burglars being thwarted by a locked car on Corey Road. North Haven Police have been very active on social media with reminding residents to lock their vehicles as part of the national #9PMROUTINE.

Police recently said that they’ve seen a 50-percent reduction in thefts from unlocked cars since they started the #9PMROUTINE reminder and while the reduction may not be a direct result of the reminder, “locking your car will not hurt.”

In the surveillance video that was shared on Wednesday, police say it took two suspects 15 seconds to get out of their car, check for unlocked cars and get back into their car. Watch the video at the end of this article.
