Driver Struck Utility Pole In North Haven: Police
Police are advising motorists that streetlights were damaged in the crash and repairs will be taking place over the next week.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A vehicle struck a utility pole at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Pool Road during the overnight hours on Oct. 29. Police responded to the intersection at about 3 a.m. on the report of a motor vehicle collision.
Police said the vehicle had driven off the road and struck a utility pole, which caused the pole to crack and damaged the streetlights.
Utility companies were notified and will repair the pole and lights over the next week, according to police.

Police advise motorists to be cautious when traveling through the intersection. The traffic lights are on flash, and temporary stop signs have been put in place, police said.
There was no immediate word on any injuries resulting from the crash.
