Getaway Driver in $1,500 Cigarette Theft Charged: North Haven Police
North Haven Police arrested one man in connection to a burglary of the Mobil Gas Station and have a warrant for the other suspect: BREAKING

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man is accused of being the getaway driver in the theft of $1,500 worth of cigarettes in a burglary of the Mobil Gas Station on Quinnipiac Avenue in May.
North Haven Police arrested David Rigsbee, 54, on a warrant on Tuesday in connection to the burglary. Police say Rigsbee was the getaway driver and they have an active arrest warrant for the burglary suspect.
Police responded to the gas station, located at 88 Quinnipiac Avenue, at about 5 a.m. on May 4. Police said the suspect smashed the glass door with a large rock to gain entry.

Video surveillance showed the suspect filling a large plastic bag with what was later determined to be over $1,500 worth of cigarettes, according to police.
The suspect then attempted to force open the cash register, but was unsuccessful.

The man fled the gas station and ran across Quinnipiac Avenue and out of view of the cameras, police said.
North Haven Detectives identified the suspect and currently hold an active arrest warrant for him. The investigation also revealed that Rigsbee was the driver of a vehicle that assisted the suspect in fleeing the scene, according to police.
Rigsbee was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.
Rigsbee was held on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Tuesday.
