Local Marine Home for Super Bowl Sunday
US Marine Corps Lance Corporal Al Perrilo returned from a two-year tour in Afghanistan.

On a day that for many was all about Giants versus Patriots, one North Haven family found another reason to celebrate: Al Perrilo, a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, returned home after a two-year tour in Afghanistan.
According to WTNH, some fifty people attended a party, organized by Perrilo's mother Debi, to celebrate the soldier's homecoming at the CT Women's Biker Club on Elm Street.
Debi Perrilo expressed joy that her son had made it home safely. From WTNH's coverage:

"Well, my son was coming home so I had to get the whole family together...We are all about the family and very proud of him."
Lance Corporal Perrilo added:

Perrilo will remain on leave for the next month before returning to duty.
