Man Charged In Burglaries Of 2 Businesses In North Haven: Police

Police said the man is part of a burglary crew that has been using stolen motor vehicles to commit burglaries across the state.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — An Ansonia man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the burglary of two businesses in North Haven earlier this year, according to police.

Quadele Vickers, 21, is accused of burglarizing the businesses, which are both on Washington Avenue, on March 27 and May 20, according to police.

Police said Vickers is part of a burglary crew that has been using stolen motor vehicles to commit burglaries across the state.

“After securing a stolen motor vehicle, the burglary crew would target businesses and steal cash registers, safes, ATMs, and other merchandise,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Detectives, working in collaboration with surrounding towns, completed a thorough investigation of these crimes, which is still continuing.”

Vickers, who police said is currently incarcerated, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief for the March incident, and third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, and third-degree criminal mischief for the May incident. He was held in lieu of bonds totaling $100,000,

Vickers was recently arrested by Wallingford police in connection with the burglary of a car dealership in Wallingford.
