Man Charged In Restaurant Burglary In North Haven: Police

The man is accused of breaking into a restaurant in North Haven, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a restaurant in North Haven in June, according to police.

Xuanting Yan, 38, was arrested Feb. 1 and charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.

The arrest stems from the June 2022 “forced-entry” burglary of the Pagoda Chinese restaurant in North Haven, according to police.

Yan was released after posting a $20,000 bond, according to police.

“Yan has been subject to multiple burglary arrests, of both residential and commercial establishments, in and around North Haven,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.

Yan was also arrested Jan. 23 in connection with a home burglary in North Haven.

He also has other pending cases in connection with burglaries in Cromwell, Milford, North Haven, Wallingford, and Wethersfield, according to state judicial records.
